Couples in love are invited to come down for our 9pm show, titled “Let’s Get Together!” The show features performances by comedian couples as well. The lineup consists of Pat Dixon (VH1′s Best Week Ever), Jessimae Peluso (The Opie & Anthony Show), Yannis Pappas (VH1′s Best Week Ever), Chrissie Mayr (What Not To Wear), Big Jay Oakerson (Late Night With Jimmy Fallon) and more special guests to be announced!
At 11pm those who are single and looking for love are welcomed to attend “We Should Break Up!” The show is based on the popular OfficialComedy.com web series and features performances from the stars of the show, Joe DeRosa & Nikki Glaser. Joe has appeared on Comedy Central several times and is a co-author for the highly acclaimed book Cheat: A Gentleman’s Guide To Infidelity. Nikki is the co-host of the MTV Show Nikki & Sara Live and has performed on Conan, The Tonight Show, and Last Comic Standing.
Clips from the web series will be played throughout the show, including a live Q&A with the audience.
Those attending “Let’s Get Together!” has the option of regular show admission, a prix fixe dinner, or a combination of dinner & show. If you are attending “We Should Breakup!”, The Stand is offering an open bar, appetizers, and show admission package as well.

Join Us For The Real Time Roast Of The Golden Globes on Sunday, January 13th!

The Stand is proud to present the first in a series of roasts centered around pop culture events. This Sunday the 13th kicks off the Real Time Roast Of The Golden Globes.

Comedy fans are invited down to the club to watch a live broadcast of the 70th annual Golden Globe Awards. Comedians Jessimae Peluso (Opie & Anthony), Harrison Greenbaum (The Katie Couric Show), and Jen Remauro (MTV & TLC) will be on hand to critique & “snark” up the proceedings.

Audience members are also encouraged to participate to interact by sending tweets that will be read during breaks in throughout the broadcast.

The show will begin at 8pm with seating at 7:30. Tickets are $15 (discounts available) and can be purchased online here or by calling 212.677.2600.

“The View” co-star Sherri Shepherd took in an impromptu — but rather racy — comedy performance by her husband, TV writer Lamar Sally, at The Stand last Friday. Spies at the Third Avenue restaurant say that during dinner with a group of friends, Sally discovered it was open-mic night in the comedy club downstairs.
